Victoria’s now-defunct Luminara festival in Beacon Hill Park was one of my favourite sources of imagery. Lanterns and light installations scattered across the entire park created a wonderland of warm light.

I love wandering whenever I travel – no specific destination in mind. I often stumble across the best parts of a city this way. It’s just not a discovery if you find it under the ‘Good places to take photographs’ section of the Lonely Planet books…
